  The purpose of this article is the attempt to analyze the role of prayer in daily lives of people with physical disabilities. It provides some theoretical background to prayer, but it mainly emphasizes the research aspect. The work is divided into three parts. The first one presents the importance of prayer in the Bible. The second part is focused on the review of literature related to the discussed topic. Then the spiritual needs of disabled people are described. The paper concludes by examining the results of the ethnographic research work carried out by the author.;
  Opracowanie jest próbą znalezienia odpowiedzi na pytanie: jaką rolę pełni modlitwa w życiu osoby z niepełnosprawnością ruchową? Tekst przedstawia założenia teoretyczne dotyczące zagadnień modlitwy, ale przede wszystkim koncentruje się na aspekcie badawczym tej kwestii. Składa się z czterech części. W pierwszej części opisane zostały podstawowe informacje na temat miejsca modlitwy w Piśmie Świętym. W kolejnej odnaleźć można analizę badań dotyczących roli modlitwy w życiu osób z niepełnosprawnością przedstawionych w polskiej literaturze specjalistycznej. Trzecia część porusza problematykę potrzeb duchowych osoby niepełnosprawnej. Zasadniczą część artykułu stanowi szczegółowa analiza i wyniki badań własnych.
