  Dynamic civilizational transformations directly translate into the family institution, which is also characterized by constant changes. Currently, the family is facing a transformation related to its functioning in the social space. It is largely determined by new digital solutions, the popularity of which is constantly increasing in society. This is a good example of the fact that the emergence of even very advanced technologies does not degrade the role of parents in the upbringing process, but, on the contrary, it puts new challenges before them and raises the importance they play in the modern process of shaping young people.The aim of the article is to present the role of the family as a key institution shaping the correct functioning patterns of children in the contemporary social space modeled by new technologies. The theoretical analysis carried out in the article presents the family as a key institution responsible for upbringing, describes the specificity of children’s functioning in a world dominated bynew technologies, and also indicates the correct attitudes of parents towards children using digital tools, while emphasizing the important role played by the traditional family, even in a world where more and more activities are digital.;
  Dynamiczne przeobrażania cywilizacyjne bezpośrednio przekładają się na instytucję rodziny. Obecnie staje ona w obliczu transformacji związanej z jej funkcjonowaniem w przestrzeni społecznej. Proces ten w dużej mierze jest determinowany nowymi rozwiązaniami cyfrowymi, których powszechność w społeczeństwie stale wzrasta. Jednak pojawienie się nawet bardzo zaawansowanych technologii nie degraduje roli rodziców w procesie wychowania, a wręcz przeciwnie, stawia przed nimi nowe wyzwania i podnosi ich rangę we współczesnym procesie kształtowania charakterów młodych ludzi.Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie roli rodziny jako kluczowej instytucji kształtującej prawidłowe wzorce funkcjonowania dzieci we współczesnej przestrzeni społecznej modelowanej przez nowe technologie. Dokonana w artykule teoretyczna analiza prezentuje rodzinę jako kluczową instytucję odpowiedzialną za wychowanie, opisuje specyfikę funkcjonowania dzieci w świecie zdominowanym przez nowe technologie, a także wskazuje na prawidłowe postawy rodziców wobec podopiecznych korzystających z cyfrowych narzędzi, podkreślając jednocześnie istotną rolę, jaką odgrywa tradycyjna rodzina nawet w świecie, w którym coraz więcej podejmowanych aktywności ma wymiar digitalny.
