  The student scientific movement, as a system of integrationand activation of the most talented youth in scientific research, represented an area of increased concern of the socialist state authorities, who were interested in shaping the appropriate ideological and educational attitudes among the future elite of the state. The aim of the study is an attempt to specify, in a chronological and problem-oriented manner, the main areas of activity of the student scientific movement of educators in the period of theSilesian Insurgents Higher Pedagogical College in Opole (1954–1994). The study outlines the origins and development of the student scientific movement in Poland and the conditions under which pedagogical research groups operated at the college in Opole, considering themultidimensional impact on the scientific research, didactic and cultural-social fields, going beyond the official study programme.;
  Studencki ruch naukowy jako system integracji i aktywizacji naukowo-badawczej najzdolniejszej młodzieży stanowił obszar wzmożonej troski ze strony socjalistycznychwładz państwowych, zainteresowanych ukształtowaniem właściwych postaw ideowo-wychowawczych wśród przyszłej elity państwa. Celem opracowania jest próba uszczegółowienia w układzie chronologiczno-problemowym głównych obszarów działalności studenckiego ruchu naukowego pedagogów w okresie istnienia Wyższej Szkoły Pedagogicznej im. Powstańców Śląskich w Opolu (1954–1994). Scharakteryzowano genezę i rozwój studenckiego ruchu naukowego w Polsce oraz uwarunkowania funkcjonowania pedagogicznych kół naukowych w opolskiej uczelni, uwzględniając wielowymiarowy zakres ich oddziaływania w sferze naukowo-badawczej, dydaktycznej i kulturalno-społecznej, wykraczający poza oficjalny program studiów.
