  Folk culture can have a significant impact on shaping the identity of the young generation. The author analyses the most recent core curriculum of Polish for primary schools and selected curricula of this subject in terms of the presence of issues related to folk literature. The results of the analysis indicate that the most frequently used in educational practice are texts that have been known for a long time and that originate from folk culture or refer to it various ways. The author emphasizes that the contemporary student, functioning on a daily basis in the digital world, has special expectations towards education. She suggests refreshing the list of readings, methods and forms of work and including modern technologies, which may make the lesson process more attractive.;
  Kultura ludowa może mieć  znaczący wpływ  kształtowanie tożsamości młodego pokolenia.   Autorka analizuje najnowszą podstawę programową z języka polskiego dla szkoły podstawowej oraz wybrane programy nauczania tego przedmiotu w aspekcie obecności zagadnień związanych z literaturą ludową. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy wskazują, iż w praktyce edukacyjnej najczęściej wykorzystywane są  znane od dawna teksty wywodzące  się  lub  nawiązujące w różny sposób do kultury ludowej. Autorka podkreśla, iż współczesny uczeń, funkcjonujący na co dzień w cyfrowym świecie,  ma szczególne oczekiwania wobec edukacji. Proponuje odświeżenie listy lektur, metod i form pracy oraz włączenie  nowoczesnych technologii, które mogą uatrakcyjnić proces lekcyjny.
