  The purpose of the article is to analyze changes in the level of inequality of personal income of the population in Poland, in inter- and intra-regional systems in 2004-2021, among others, in the light of measures of inequality based on entropy statistics and the Gini index. The paper attempts to answer the following research questions: how did the level of intra- and inter-regional inequality in Poland change in 2004-2021 in the light of the value of the personal income index of the population?, to what extent does the level of inequality at the local level affect the overall level of income inequality in Poland? and what are the regularities in the variability of the spatial distribution of income inequality in Poland? In the course of the research procedure, it was shown that the level of income inequality in Poland decreased in the period under study. Intra-regional inequality shapes the level of inequality to a greater extent than inter-regional inequality. Among the provinces with the highest level of inequality are Mazowieckie and Malopolskie, and the lowest are Opolskie and Zachodniopomorskie. In most regions, a much faster rate of growth in the personal income of the population was observed in municipalities with relatively lowest incomes.;
  Celem artykułu jest analiza zmian poziomu nierówności dochodów osobistych ludności w Polsce, w układach między- i wewnątrzregionalnych w latach 2004– 2021, m.in. w świetle miar nierówności bazujących na statystyce entropii i indeksie Giniego. W pracy podjęto próbę odpowiedzi na następujące pytania badawcze: jak zmieniał się poziom nierówności wewnątrz- i międzyregionalnych w Polsce w latach 2004–2021 w świetle wartości wskaźnika dochodów osobistych ludności, w jakim stopniu nierówności na poziomie lokalnym wpływają na ogólny poziom nierówności dochodowych w Polsce oraz jakie prawidłowości występują w zakresie zmienności rozkładu przestrzennego nierówności dochodowych w Polsce. W toku postępowania badawczego wykazano, że w badanym okresie poziom nierówności dochodowych w Polsce uległ zmniejszeniu. Nierówności wewnątrzregionalne w większym stopniu kształtują poziom nierówności niż nierówności międzyregionalne. Wśród województw o najwyższym poziomie nierówności są mazowieckie i małopolskie, a o najniższym – opolskie i zachodniopomorskie. W większości województw znacznie szybsze tempo wzrostu dochodów osobistych ludności obserwowano w gminach o relatywnie najniższych dochodach.
