  Nowadays, gender equality is very often mentioned as a key element of both internal and international policy. An example of the ongoing development of this process can be found in the bodies of the European Union, which are taking a number of strategic steps and initiatives towards gender equality. This article therefore looks at the individual articles of the Directives and Regulations of the Union in this area, the evolution of activities, the current situation in the Member States and the most important elements of strategy in this area both in previous years and in those currently being implemented.;
  Współcześnie bardzo często mówi się o równości płci jako kluczowym elemencie polityki zarówno wewnętrznej, jak i międzynarodowej. Przykładem na stały rozwój tego procesu są organy Unii Europejskiej, które podejmują szereg strategicznych działań oraz inicjatyw w celu równouprawnienia płci. Tym samym niniejszy artykuł przedstawia zarówno analizę zapisów poszczególnych aktów prawnych, jak i rozporządzeń Unii w tym zakresie, ewolucję działań, sytuację obecną w państwach członkowskich oraz najważniejsze elementy strategii w tej kwestii zarówno z lat poprzednich, jak i wdrażanych obecnie.
