  The article is an attempt at a theoretical analysis of the mental health of a person with intellectual disability (at various developmental stages) based on the Bioecological Theory. The aim of the article is to attempt a theoretical description of various areas of functioning of a person with intellectual disability in the field of mental health and mental health crises.The mental health of people with ID is an area overlooked in the literature on the subject. The article mainly highlights the lack of narrative about mental health, exclusion and discrimination of people with ID in the highlighted area.
