  Artykuł jest przyczynkiem do uprawiania historiografii organizacji rozumianej jako wykorzystywanie intelektualnych narzędzi historii historiografii przy krytycznym badaniu przeszłości organizacyjnej. Szczegółowy problem wyznacza dyskusja propozycji, sformułowanej przez autora już wcześniej, by historyczny paradoks związany z rolą Karola Adamieckiego w narodzinach zarządzania uznawać za paradoks historiograficzny.
