• Description:
  The first part of the Breviary Huseby 25 was written in the 13th century, the second part in the second quarter of the 14th century. This breviary is one of the oldest liturgical manuscripts of the Teutonic Order. The liturgical rubrics of the Codex have survived in a Rhine-Franconian language, which makes Huseby 25 to one of the very few liturgical manuscripts of the Order in German. Substantive considerations indicates a production of this manuscript for a nunnery, which may be identified with the St. Catherine’s Monastery in Frankfurt. So Huseby 25 ist he only known manuscript of a nunnery from the Teutonic Order.
