The author found a print by Zbigniew Morsztyn’s work Treny żałosne Apollina z Muzami przy oddaniu ostatniej usługi ciału Jana Hoverbecka [The Mournful Threnody of Apollo with the Muses at the Rendering of the Last Service to the Body of Jan Hoverbeck] from 1682, unknown to Polish researchers. Its text was previously known from an incomplete manuscript copy from the seventeenth century (74 verses of the cycle are missing). The article includes a commented edition of the unknown songs of the funerary cycle, discusses the circumstances of its composition, and analyses its poetics and its place in the literary setting of the funeral (the ceremony was also commemorated with six German-language and two Latin-language prints).;
Autor odnalazł nieznany polskim badaczom druk dzieła Zbigniewa Morsztyna Treny żałosne Apollina z Muzami przy oddaniu ostatniej usługi ciału Jana Hoverbecka z 1682 r., którego tekst znany był dotąd z niepełnej rękopiśmiennej kopii z XVII w. (brak w niej 74 wersów cyklu). Artykuł zawiera komentowaną edycję nieznanych pieśni funeralnego zbioru, a także omawia okoliczności powstania, analizuje jego poetykę oraz miejsce w literackiej oprawie pogrzebu (uroczystość uczczono też sześcioma drukami niemieckojęzycznymi i dwoma łacińskimi).
