  The concept of the Internet of Things has been known since the beginning of the 21st century, but despite many advantages of this technology resulting from its use and application, there is still a large group of people who do not realize that when using smart devices, they actually use the latest solutions included in the IoT. The aim of the article is to present a collection of information concerning the Internet of Things, its application and implementations in various branches of the economy as well as its benefits for users in everyday life. Another goal is also the identification of IoT threats affecting our security as well as protecting the collected processed data.;
  Pojęcie Internet Rzeczy jest znane od początku XXI wieku, lecz mimo wielu zalet tej technologii wynikającej z jej użytkowania i wykorzystania, wciąż pozostaje spora grupa osób, która nie zdaje sobie sprawy, że korzystając ze smart urządzeń, tak naprawdę korzystają z najnowszych rozwiązań wchodzących w skład IoT. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie zebranych informacji o Internecie Rzeczy, jego zastosowaniu i implementacji w różnych gałęziach gospodarki i korzyściach dla użytkowników w życiu codziennym. Kolejnym celem jest również identyfikacja zagrożeń IoT, wpływających na nasze bezpieczeństwo oraz samo zabezpieczanie przetwarzanych zbieranych danych.
