  Having discussed the academic achievements regarding the notion and delimitation of the tourist region, the author suggests his own original definition. He has based this definition on the concentration of tourist, and then isolated seven types of functional tourist region.;
  Po omówieniu dotychczasowego dorobku naukowego w zakresie pojęcia i delimitacji regionu turystycznego, autor zaproponował własną, oryginalną definicję regionu jako przedmiotu poznania. Podstawą tej definicji uczynił autor koncentrację ruchu turystycznego, a następnie wydzielił siedem typów funkcjonalnego regionu turystycznego.
