  In sex marking in contemporary Polish, despite common stereotypes, is not and has not been for long identical with marking grammatical gender. Some misunderstandings related to this subject may be explained with the implementation of linguistic and ludic tools, alluding to the illu- sion of the allegedly omnipresent imperative of agon, frequently forced in popular though misleading terms of “a battle of the sexes”.;
  Znaczenie płci w języku polskim, wbrew powszechnym stereotypom, nie jest, ani od dawna nie było, tożsame ze znaczeniem rodzaju gramatycznego. Kilka nieporozumień z tym związanych można wyjaśnić z użyciem narzędzi językoznawczych a zarazem ludologicznych, poprzez nawiązanie do iluzji rzekomo wszechobecnego imperatywu agonu, często wymuszanego przez użycie mylącej retoryki „walki płci”.
