  The paper sets out from several pieces of graffiti found across the cityscape of present-day Rome to show the possible ambiguity of those inscriptions. Since they invoke the she-wolf, they may also draw attention to the Roman she-wolf (lupa Romana), a symbol intrinsic to ancient Rome. An analysis of antique literary accounts demonstrates that for the ancients themselves the lupa remained an unequivocal figure.;
  W artykule, wychodząc od treści kilku graffiti umieszczonych w przestrzeni miejskiej współczesnego Rzymu, staram się pokazać ewentualną niejednoznaczność tych napisów. Dotyczą one wilczycy rzymskiej (lupa Romana), symbolu zrośniętego z Rzymem starożytnym. Analiza antycznych przekazów literackich dowodzi, że dla samych starożytnych lupa pozostawała figurą wieloznaczną.
