  Die 1886 gegründete Königliche Ansiedlungskommission für Westpreußen und Posen steht wie kaum eine zweite Behörde in dem Ruf, eine staatliche Unterdrückungspolitik gegenüber der polnischen Minderheit in Preußen betrieben zu haben. Aufgabe der Kommission war es, polnischen Großgrundbesitz anzukaufen und ihn an deutsche Siedler zu vergeben, mit dem Ziel, den deutschen Bevölkerungsanteil in den östlichen Provinzen Preußens zu erhöhen. Der Beitrag bietet eine Einführung in die Geschichte der Behörde und ihrer Erforschung.;
  Established in 1886, the Royal Settlement Commission for West Prussia and Poznań is considered by the public to be an office that conducts - to an extent incomparable to other offices – the state policy of repression against the Polish minority in Prussia. The task of the Commission was to purchase large Polish estates and transfer them to German settlers in order to increase the German population in the eastern provinces of Prussia. The article introduces the history of this institution and presents the research concerning it. Translated by Agnieszka Chabros;
  Założona w 1886 roku Królewska Komisja Osadnicza dla Prus Zachodnich i Poznania uchodzi w opinii publicznej za urząd prowadzący – w nieporównywalnym w stosunku do innych urzędów stopniu – państwową politykę represji wobec mniejszości polskiej w Prusach. Zadaniem Komisji było kupowanie dużych majątków polskich i przekazywanie ich osadnikom niemieckim w celu zwiększenia liczby ludności niemieckiej we wschodnich prowincjach Prus. Artykuł wprowadza w historię tego urzędu oraz badania nad nim.
