  Rocznik Orientalistyczny (Yearbook of Oriental Studies) is a semi-annual journal devoted to linguistics, literature, history, culture, religion as well as societies of Asia and Africa. Many publications are editions of texts written in Oriental fonts. Articles are published in English, German or French with summaries in English. There is no word limit for the article but it should be concise. Rocznik Orientalistyczny (Yearbook of Oriental Studies) is a highly esteemed journal in the field, one of the oldest in the world, and the oldest in Poland (it was founded in 1914). Dziekan is Full Professor of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Łódź and at the University of Warsaw (Poland). He holds a position of the Head of the Department of Middle East and North Africa, University of Łódź. His main interests cover history of Islam, history of Arabic culture and literature, contemporary Islam in political context, Islam-West relations, ideologies of Arabic World and anthropology of Arabic World. His selected books (in Polish) are: “Arabia Magica. The Recondite Wisdom among the Arabs in pre-Islamic Times”, 1993; “Arabo-Islamic Symbols”, 1997; “Iraq. Religion and Politics”, 2005; “Civilization of Islam in Asia and Africa”, 2007; “History of Arabic Culture”, 2008; “Golden Capitals of the Arabs. Essays on Contemporary Arab Thought”, 2011.   Since its launch in 1914 Rocznik Orientalistyczny (Yearbook of Oriental Studies), a semi-annual double-blind review journal has established a reputation for publishing original articles, as well as book reviews, on the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The Journal provides high-quality academic research on the history, religions, art, culture, languages and literature of these regions. The approach is interdisciplinary, combining perspectives from linguistics, literary studies, archaeology, history, anthropology, philosophy, sociology, culture and religion. RO will build on this solid foundation, contributing to the further understanding of the areas of interest. Rocznik Orientalistyczny (Yearbook of Oriental Studies) publishes manuscripts in English, German, French and Russian with abstracts in English. The Journal takes pride in being able to provide all kinds of fonts used for transcribing the languages of Asia and Africa. Content of Rocznik Orientalistyczny (Yearbook of Oriental Studies) is archived with a long-term preservation service by the National Library of Poland.
