Scham ist aber nicht nur das Resultat einer Imperfektion, die im aufgezwungenen Vergleich mit einem Modell idealer Körperlichkeit entsteht, sie kann zum Erreichen der Standards antreiben, aber auch zu deren wie immer gearterer Überschreitung;
The limitations of the human body, also under the perspective of sexual attraction and function, and the reflection on them result in shame. Shame however is not only the result of imperfection in comparison to a model of ideal physicality forced on someone, it can be a promotor both of achieving a status that seems to grant a shameless existence but also of whatever potential transgression of those standards.
