Benedict XVI called for a deeper understanding of inspiration and its dynamics. Although he did not write a treatise on inspiration himself, his theological reflections can contribute to the doctrine of inspiration. The article takes up the most important threads that Joseph Ratzinger drew attention to in his statements about inspiration. The author of the article begins by presenting the creative dialogue between the Bavarian theologian and the thought of St. Bonaventure. Above all, the idea of the relation of revelation to Sacred Scripture as a testimony of revelation is emphasized. Then, three fundamental categories are considered which, according to Ratzinger, should define the theological reflection on inspiration: the person, the People of God, to which an inspired author belonged and which is guided by God, and history. In conclusion, a critical summary is made and the issues that need to be developed are pointed out.;
Benedykt XVI wzywał do pogłębienia rozumienia natchnienia i jego dynamiki. Choć sam nie stworzył traktatu o natchnieniu, jego teologiczne refleksje mogą stanowić przyczynek do doktryny natchnienia. W artykule podjęto najważniejsze wątki, na które w wypowiedziach dotyczących natchnienia zwrócił uwagę Joseph Ratzinger. Rozpoczęto od ukazania twórczego dialogu bawarskiego teologa z myślą św. Bonawentury. Uwypuklona została przede wszystkim idea relacji objawienia do Pisma Świętego jako świadectwa objawienia. Następnie podjęto trzy podstawowe kategorie, które zdaniem Ratzingera winny określać teologiczną refleksję nad natchnieniem: osobę, Lud Boży, którego autor natchniony był częścią i który jest prowadzony przez Boga, oraz historię. W zakończeniu dokonano krytycznego podsumowania i wypunktowano kwestie domagające się rozwinięcia.
