This article aims to explain the characteristics and development paths of North Brabant, during the transition from an economy based on industries to knowledge-based economy, using the highest industry technology and design. Attempts to identify the key moments of the transformation of the socio-economic development of the region and the consequences of its impact on changes in the economy. Reference is made to the historical foundations of economic success and the consequences introduced development strategy. Analyzed characteristics of this region and innovation indicators.;
Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka i wyjaśnienie ścieżki rozwoju Brabancji Północnej, związanej z przejściem z gospodarki opartej na przemyśle do gospodarki opartej na wiedzy, przy wykorzystaniu branży najwyższych technologii i designu. Podejmuje się próbę identyfikacji głównych momentów przeobrażeń otoczenia społeczno-gospodarczego regionu oraz skutków jego oddziaływania na zmiany gospodarki. Wskazuje się na historyczne podwaliny sukcesu gospodarczego oraz konsekwencje wprowadzonej strategii rozwoju. Zanalizowano cechy szczególne regionu i wskaźniki innowacyjności.
