Na przełomie wiosny i lata oraz jesienią zmierzono zużycie tlenu u popielicy Glis glis (Linnaeus, 1766), koszatki Dryomys nitedula (Pallas, 1779) i orzesznicy Muscardinus avellanarius (Linnaeus, 1758). Dzięki dobowym pomiarom możliwe było nie tylko poznanie średniej wartości zużycia tlenu w różnych sezonach (Tabela 1), ale także dało się ocenić dobowy rytm aktywności u poszczególnych gatunków (Ryc. 2, 3, 5, 6).;
