The ethics of care, with its focus on the relational nature of human beings and the bodily dimension of human functioning, offers a new research perspective that can be applied to the analysis of experiences of being with a person with profound intellectual and multiple disabilities (PIMD). The article discusses the concept of the ethics of care as developed by two of its key representatives, Carol Gilligan and Eva Feder Kittay. In the context of being with a person with PIMD, the notions of independence, dependence, and interdependency are examined. Special attention is given to the understanding of the relationship and the way it is described within the framework of the ethics of care, and caregiving as an expression of concern.;
Etyka troski, która skupia się na relacyjnym charakterze ludzi i wymiarze cielesnym funkcjonowania człowieka, oferuje nową perspektywę badawczą, którą można zastosować do analizy eksploracyjnej danych. Doświadczenia związane z przebywaniem z osobą z głęboką niepełnosprawnością intelektualną i wieloraką niepełnosprawnością (PIMD). Artykuł omawia koncepcję etyki troski, opracowaną przez dwóch jej kluczowych przedstawicieli, Carol Gilligan i Eva Feder Kittay. W kontekście przebywania z osobą z PIMD, pojęcia badane są kwestie niezależności, zależności i współzależności. Specjalną uwagę poświęca się na zrozumienie relacji i sposobu, w jaki jest ona opisywana w ramach etyki opieka i opieka jako wyraz troski.
