  The topic of the article is previously unpublished and not discussed in the subject literature autograph of three extracts of a tale of Antoś and Józia by Bolesław Prus. The material, stored at the Library of the Capital City of Warsaw, Main Library of the Masovian Voivodeship, consists of 34 pages, three extracts paginated by the author’s hand. In the article, an attempt was made to situate the fragments against the background of other texts by the writer, including unpublished ones, as well as to determine the time frame of the autograph’s creation. An attempt was also made to answer the question whether the plot idea of the story about Antoś and Józia is innovative against the background of the writer’s other works, whether it refers to other works by Prus or whether it is a duplication of known schemes of plot composition.;
  Tematem artykułu jest niepublikowany dotąd, nieomówiony w literaturze przedmiotu autograf trzech fragmentów opowiadania o Antosiu i Józi Bolesława Prusa. Materiał, przechowywany w Bibliotece m.st. Warszawy, Bibliotece Głównej Województwa Mazowieckiego, składa się z 34 kart, trzech fragmentów paginowanych ręką autora. W artykule podjęto próbę usytuowania fragmentów na tle innych tekstów pisarza, w tym tych niepublikowanych, a także określenia ram czasowych powstania autografu. Postarano się również odpowiedzieć na pytanie, czy pomysł fabularny opowiadania o Antosiu i Józi jest odkrywczy na tle twórczości pisarza, czy nawiązuje do innych utworów Prusa, czy może jest powieleniem znanych schematów fabularno-kompozycyjnych.
