  This article offers a novel perspective on the use of genealogy and genograms to create the “Ten Guiding Questions”—a broader approach to exploring one’s family history, which can serve as a starting point in therapy. Responding to ongoing research on generational trauma and its significance in the lives of individuals and in therapeutic work, the author develops a tool that combines features of genealogical research and methods used in constructing a genogram.;
  Artykuł stanowi nowe spojrzenie na korzystanie z genealogii oraz genogramu. Proponuje stworzenie dziesięciu pytań naprowadzających, które pozwalają na poznanie przeszłości swojej rodziny. Poznane fakty mogą się stać punktem wyjścia w terapii. Autorka wychodzi naprzeciw badaniom nt. traumy pokoleniowej i jej znaczenia w życiu człowieka oraz w pracy terapeutycznej i tworzy narzędzie łączące cechy badań genealogicznych i metod wykorzystanych do tworzenia genogramu.
