  In their paper, the authors point out to a growing importance of marketing research in Poland within territorial systems, which issues from on going processes of firm concentration and internationalisation, and accession of Poland to the European Union. Against this background, there are presented the key dilemmas of research in its spatial terms, supporting its analysis with the results of surveys performed by the Institute of Home Market and Consumption. The surveys covered the problems of enterprises and municipalities connected with information acquisition, allowing making marketing decisions concerning the definite geographical markets.
