  The article contains an analysis of selected areas of divergences between practices and theoretical assumptions of management. Examples of these differences in the area of human resource management, use of corporate social responsibility principles, respecting the limits of subjective and objective management, current paradigms and their usefulness in creating the future were citied. Also, some of the causes of limited usefulness of certain theories and their rapid obsolescence were discussed. Among other things, the widespread and increasing variability of organizations’ state and their environment causes some backwardness (time dissonance) of theoretical propositions towards the needs of practice.;
  Artykuł zawiera analizę wybranych obszarów niezgodności stosowanych praktyk i założeń teoretycznych zarządzania. Przywołano przykłady tych rozbieżności w sferze zarządzania zasobami ludzkimi, stosowania założeń społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu, respektowania granic podmiotowych i przedmiotowych zarządzania, aktualności paradygmatów i ich przydatności w kreowaniu przyszłości. Omówiono także niektóre przyczyny ograniczonej przydatności niektórych teorii i ich szybkiej dezaktualizacji. Między innymi powszechna i narastająca zmienność stanów organizacji i ich otoczenia powoduje pewne zapóźnienie (dysonans czasowy) propozycji teoretycznych względem potrzeb praktyki.
