A theology of the family as the “domestic Church” was fully developed in the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. However, the question arises whether this is how contemporary Christian families see themselves and are perceived in the parish community. Are they aware of their mission and properly prepared to undertake it? The purpose of the paper is to present the results of empirical research conducted among spouses and priests of the Archdiocese of Katowice in 2020–2021. The analysis of the results of the research, juxtaposed with the catechetical and pastoral premises, became the basis for the development of the document Pastoral Care (of Families) of the Archdiocese of Katowice: Strategic Plan for 2021–2025. Its pilot application has begun in selected parishes, aiming to revitalize family participation in the life of parish communities.;
Teologia rodziny jako „Kościoła domowego” znalazła pełne rozwinięcie w nauczaniu II Soboru Watykańskiego. Rodzi się jednak wątpliwość, czy w taki sposób postrzegają siebie i są postrzegane we wspólnocie parafii współczesne chrześcijańskie rodziny? Czy są świadome swojej misji i odpowiednio do jej podjęcia przegotowane? Celem opracowania jest prezentacja wyników badań empirycznych przeprowadzonych wśród małżonków oraz kapłanów archidiecezji katowickiej w latach 2020–2021. Analiza wyników badań, zestawiona z przesłankami katechetyczno-duszpasterskimi stała się podstawą dla opracowania dokumentu Duszpasterstwo (rodzin) archidiecezji katowickiej. Plan strategiczny na okres (2021–2025). W wybranych parafiach rozpoczęła się jego pilotażowa aplikacja, mająca na celu ożywienie uczestnictwa rodzin w życiu wspólnot parafialnych.
