  The paper is devoted to the beginnings of the organisation of the Cuiavian diocese in the 12th century. These beginning have been discussed in the literature for a long time. The main returning controversy concerns the question of whether there was just one or two bishoprics around 1124 (Włocławek, Kruszwica). The author argues that there could be only one bishopric but he also analyses the special role played by the chapter of Kruszwica. The problem is presented again a broad comparative background.;
  Artykuł poświęcony jest początkom organizacji diecezjalnej na Kujawach w XII w. Początki te są od dawna dyskutowane w literaturze. Wciąż powraca kontrowersja, czy ok. 1124 r. istniały jedno czy dwa odrębne biskupstwa (Włocławek, Kruszwica). Autor dowodzi, że w grę wchodzi tylko jedno biskupstwo, ale analizuje specjalną rolę, jaką odgrywała kapituła w Kruszwicy. Problem przedstawiony został na szerokiej podstawie komparatystycznej.
