  The article is a summary of the query conducted for the Philomaths Archive project – digital edition. The author briefly describes the essence and significance of the Philomath collection, pointing to the difficult and dramatic history of smuggling it to Poland after World War II. In the main part of the article, she describes the watermarks found and preserved in an identifiable state, indicates their origin, analyzes their appearance and history, comparing the results of her research with the results of works by recognized filigree researchers. Moreover, she distinguishes the papers on which the works and philomac correspondence were written, pointing to their provenance and characteristic features, trying to identify the paper mills that released them.;
  Artykuł powstał w rezultacie kwerendy przeprowadzonej na potrzeby projektu „Archiwum Filomatów – edycja cyfrowa”. Przedstawiono w nim istotę i znaczenie kolekcji filomatów, wskazując na trudną i dramatyczną historię przemytu jej do Polski po drugiej wojnie światowej. W głównej części artykułu opisano odnalezione i zachowane w rozpoznawalnym stanie znaki wodne, wskazując na ich pochodzenie, zanalizowano ich wygląd i historię, porównując wyniki badań z wynikami prac uznanych filigranistów. W artykule przedstawiono papiery, na których spisano utwory i korespondencję filomacką, wskazując na ich proweniencję i cechy charakterystyczne oraz starając się zidentyfikować zakłady papiernicze, które je wydały.
