Il réitère dans ce roman la fonction thérapeutique de la littérature. De livre en livre on voit l’évolution de Le Clézio et dans ce roman qui est presque une synthèse, toute son expérience et son vécu transparaissent. Bitna, sous le ciel de Séoul mixes reality and invention, the down to earth and the infinite possibilities that the sky offers. By presenting both the storyteller and the listener, Jean-Marie Gustave Le Clézio gives us indications on the writer's imagination and technique, his relationship with the reader, his concerns, and the creative process. Because the city ofSeoul commissioned him to write this book, Le Clézio intentionally shares writing recipes. But he also points out that writing is a gift from heaven. The sky allows the imagination and the relation, the sharing of universal feelings. This study seeks to show how, by an intercultural literary practice, starting from fictional tales supposedly created by a Korean storyteller for a listener fromSeoul, Le Clézio actually shares his own creative techniques. In this novel, he reiterates the therapeutic function of literature. From book to book we see the evolution of Le Clézio and in this novel which is almost a synthesis, all of his literary and lived experience are reflected.
