The purpose of the article is an attempt to highlight and describe the main features of Ukrainian identity in the modern media space. The relevance of the study is related to the need for Ukrainians to preserve and confirm their national consciousness against the background of the processes of globalization and war. Among the signs of Ukrainian identity, modern media content represents, in particular, the use of the Ukrainian language as a conscious choice of people and an example of cultural stability and resistance; archaic folklore motifs that formed the basis of new works; combination of ethnic motifs with modern music; the possibility of searching for information by national hashtags; popularization of the work and personage of Taras Shevchenko through the prism of contemporary events; the emergence of a new ethnic stereotype of a Ukrainian – a fearless hero in the face of a cruel enemy; the emergence of ethnically coloured memes and modern phraseology.;
Celem artykułu jest próba uwypuklenia i opisania głównych wyznaczników ukraińskiej tożsamości we współczesnym środowisku medialnym. Aktualność badania wiąże się z pilną potrzebą zachowania i ugruntowania świadomości narodowej przez Ukraińców na tle procesów globalizacji i wojny. Do oznak ukraińskiej tożsamości w przestrzeni medialnej należą: preferowanie języka ukraińskiego jako świadomego wyboru obywateli oraz świadectwa kulturowej stabilności i sprzeciwu wobec agresji; archaiczne motywy folklorystyczne, które stały się podstawą nowych utworów; połączenie wątków etnicznych z muzyką współczesną; tworzenie ogólnokrajowych hashtagów; popularyzacja twórczości i postaci Tarasa Szewczenki przez pryzmat wydarzeń współczesnych; kreowanie nowego autostereotypu Ukraińca – nieustraszonego bohatera w obliczu okrutnego wroga; pojawienie się etnicznie markowanych memów oraz współczesnych frazeologizmów.
