  The article is a reflection of a pedagogue on the problem of sustaining human health. The reflection is undertaken in the context of the chapters included in the book The Human Being Facing Health Risks in the Perspective of Psychosomatics. Human beings sustain their health in a state of dynamic (dis)equilibrium, reconciling the striving for satisfying their needs, the faithing for their values, and the longing for a reasonable freedom in their lives with the expectations of social life. Important pathogenic factors are social functioning dysfunctions such as having complicated social relations or living under strong frustration. The additional factor is the internal stress caused by existential problems, the sense of uncertainty regarding the meaning of one’s life, or the noetic dimensions being revealed in one’s personality. A conclusion that may be drawn from the above reflection is that the human being health state depends both on biomedic factors and the process of education.;
  Artykuł jest refleksją pedagoga skupioną wokół problemu utrzymania zdrowia człowieka na kanwie tekstów ze zbioru Człowiek w sytuacji zagrożenia zdrowia z perspektywy psychosomatyki. Człowiek utrzymuje swoje zdrowie, żyjąc w stanie dynamicznej (nie)równowagi, godząc zabieganie o zaspokojenie swoich potrzeb, walkę o swoje wartości i dążenie do sensownej wolności w swoim życiu z wymogami współżycia społecznego. Znaczącymi czynnikami chorobotwórczymi są dysfunkcje funkcjonowania społecznego, jak trudne relacje społeczne czy przeżywanie silnych frustracji. A także wewnętrzny stres spowodowany problemami egzystencjalnymi, poczuciem niepewności dotyczącym sensu własnego życia czy czynnikami noetycznymi w osobowości. W związku z tym należy przypuszczać, że o zdrowiu człowieka decyduje proces wychowania, równolegle z czynnikami biomedycznymi.
