  The work on the critical edition of muster rolls of the crown army from the time of Obertyn campaign 1531 admitted of making new arrangements relevant to organisation of the Polish army, especially in aspect of its conventing and using it in the fight. The analysis of the dating records leads to surprising conclusions. The army of Jan Tarnowski started congregating on 19th July, but the last sub-subunits went to it not until the 31st of August, that is nine days after the Battle of Obertyn. That indicates not only lesser strength of Polish army in the Battle of Obertyn, but also unmasks not quite functional defensive structure of the south-eastern frontier of the Kingdom of Poland.;
  Prace nad krytyczną edycją rejestrów popisowych wojska koronnego z czasów kampanii obertyńskiej 1531 r. pozwoliły na poczynienie nowych ustaleń dotyczących organizacji wojska polskiego, szczególnie w aspekcie jego gromadzenia i wykorzystania w walce. Analiza zapisów datacyjnych prowadzi do zaskakujących wniosków. Armia Jana Tarnowskiego zaczęła zbierać się 19 lipca, ale ostatnie pododdziały trafiły do niej dopiero 31 sierpnia, czyli dziewięć dni po bitwie pod Obertynem. Oznacza to nie tylko mniejszą liczebność wojska polskiego w bitwie obertyńskiej, ale również obnaża niezbyt sprawną strukturę obronną południowo-wschodnich rubieży Królestwa Polskiego.
