  SHRINES OF PRAYERS FOR PEACE AND RECONCILIATION: THE THEOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION OF THE PHENOMENON OF THE MARIAN DEVOTION

  The article analyses the Marian worship organised in the form of shrines with the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the prayer for peace in the world. The organiser of these places is the Association of the Queen of Peace. The aim of its activities is, among others, promoting the prayer for peace around the world. The result of the Association’s activities are eight World Prayer Centers for Peace, in which there are chapels with altars for the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the round-the-clock prayer. There are centers in the following cities: Bethlehem (Palestine), Oziorne (Kazakhstan), Medjugorje (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Yamoussoukro Ivory Coast), Namyang (South Korea), Kibeho (Rwanda), Dagupan (Philippines), Niepokalanów (Poland). Ultimately, there are to be twelve chapels, in reference to the twelve stars in the crown of the apocalyptic woman (cf. Rev 12). The shrines located in the Centers are called Stars in the Crown of Mary. The Association also organizes places of adoration called “Stars on the Mantle of Mary Queen of Peace” in reference to the image of Mary in Guadalupe. The initiative of adoration of the Blessed Sacrament with the intention of praying for peace is a manifestation of Marian piety of the grassroot nature. The altars and the liturgical objects are the sacred art based on biblical content and the present a theologically correct message.;
  W artykule podjęto temat kultu maryjnego organizowanego w formie kaplic z adoracją Najświętszego Sakramentu i modlitwą w intencji pokoju na świecie. Organizatorem tych miejsc jest katolickie Stowarzyszenie Królowa Pokoju. Celem działalności stowarzyszenia jest m.in. propagowanie modlitwy o pokój na całym świecie. Efektem działalności stowarzyszenia jest 8 Światowych Centr Modlitwy o Pokój, w których znajdują się kaplice z ołtarzami adoracji Najświętszego Sakramentu i trwa całodobowa modlitwa. Ołtarze noszą nazwę Gwiazd w Koronie Maryi. Oprócz nich są też nielimitowane gwiazdy-monstrancje. Inicjatywa „Gwiazd” jest przejawem pobożności maryjnej o charakterze oddolnym. Ołtarze są dziełami sztuki sakralnej odnoszącymi się do treści biblijnych i przedstawiającymi poprawne przesłanie teologicznie.
