  The paper discusses the presence of Polish economic migrants in Provence and the French Riviera as well as working conditions they encountered in their workplaces in the inter-war period. Polish migrants worked in different industries: bigger and smaller companies, mining, agriculture, and hospitality. The Polish labour diaspora consisted also of merchants, entrepreneurs, artisans, and sailors. The biggest groups of Polish economic migrants lived in the Bouches-du-Rhône and Alpes-Maritimes regions; smaller groups could be found in the Var, Vaucluse Basses-Alpes, Hautes-Alpes regions. On the whole, the Polish economic migrants were not as numerous as other groups emigrating to work in mining industry in the Occitania region; nevertheless, they were seen as a competition for the Italian economic migrants. The members of the Polish labour diaspora actively participated in the Polish cultural life which is proven by the presence of various organizations.;
  Artykuł przedstawia miejsca i warunki pracy polskich emigrantów oraz ich liczebność w regionie Prowansji i Lazurowego Wybrzeża w okresie międzywojennym. Polacy pracowali w różnych gałęziach przemysłu – wielkich i małych przedsiębiorstwach, w górnictwie, rolnictwie, hotelarstwie. Sporą grupę reprezentowali drobni kupcy, przedsiębiorcy, rzemieślnicy, mniejszą marynarze. Największe skupiska polskich emigrantów były w departamencie Bouches-du-Rhône oraz w Alpes-Maritimes. Mniejsze zaś w czterech pozostałych (Var, Vaucluse Basses-Alpes, Hautes-Alpes). Jako całość stanowili mniej liczną grupę w porównaniu do stałej emigracji górniczej na południu Francji w regionie Oksytanii. Tworzyli także w tym regionie konkurencję dla emigracji włoskiej. Uczestniczyli w polskim życiu kulturalno-oświatowym, czego dowodem była działalność stowarzyszeń.
