Die gesetzliche Pflicht des vereidigten Übersetzers, die ihm auferlegten Aufgaben mit der höchsten Sorgfalt zu erledigen, umfasst sorgfältiges und treues Übersetzen, auch von Institutionsnamen. Beim Übersetzen der polnischen Hochschulnamen kann der Übersetzer als Hilfsmittel ihre deutschen Entsprechungen aus der ANABIN Datenbank in Anspruch nehmen. ANABIN ist allgemein zugängliche, deutsche Datenbank, die Behörden und Schulen bei Einstufung von ausländischen Qualifikationen unterstützt. Jedoch nur der Übersetzer haftet für eigene Übersetzung und damit auch für Auswahl entsprechender Wörter, deswegen muss er mit vorgeschlagenen Entsprechungen kritisch umgehen und sie immer genau auf ihre Übereinstimmung mit dem Inhalt der Namen in der Ausgangssprache prüfen. Dieser Artikel versucht den Fragen nachzugehen, welche deutsche Entsprechungen der polnischen Hochschulnamen gegen gebotene Sorgfalt und Treue der beglaubigten Übersetzung verstoßen sowie welche Folgen fehlerhafte Übersetzungen haben können.;
Statutory obligation of a sworn translator to exercise special diligence obliges him to perform a diligent and faithful translation, including the names of institutions. In the process of translating names of Polish colleges, a translator may use German equivalents, which have been made available in a publicly available German database ANABIN, which contains information that make it easier for offices and schools to decide in terms of recognizing educational qualifications. However, translation and thus, choice of wording is the responsibility of the translator exclusively. He must therefore approach the suggested equivalents critically; thereby, he may not automatically accept propositions without having verified them prior. The article undertakes to establish which of the proposed equivalents of names of Polish colleges violate the rule of diligent preparation of translations and faithfulness of a sworn translation as well as the consequences of incorrect translations of university names.;
Ustawowe zobowiązanie tłumacza przysięgłego do zachowania szczególnej staranności obliguje go do starannego i wiernego tłumaczenia, także nazw instytucji. W procesie tłumaczenia nazw polskich szkół wyższych tłumacz może skorzystać z niemieckich odpowiedników, które zostały opublikowane w ogólnodostępnej niemieckiej bazie informacyjnej ANABIN, zawierającej informacje ułatwiające podejmowanie decyzji urzędom i szkołom w kwestii określania kwalifikacji edukacyjnych. Jednakże za wykonane tłumaczenie i tym samym wybór słownictwa odpowiedzialność ponosi wyłącznie tłumacz. W związku z tym nie może on automatycznie przejmować propozycji bez ich sprawdzenia, lecz musi krytycznie podejść do proponowanych odpowiedników. W artykule została podjęta próba ustalenia, które z proponowanych odpowiedników nazw polskich szkół wyższych naruszają zasadę starannego sporządzania tłumaczeń i wierności tłumaczenia poświadczonego oraz jakie konsekwencje mogą mieć niepoprawne translaty nazw szkół wyższych.
