  This article covers an issue of a functioning of the EU executive agencies which have been set up to finance research. The Author examines legal basis for establishment and financing European executive agencies, as well as scrutinises practical aspects of their activity. Based on the analysis focusing on legally binding regulations and court judgements, similarities and differences in the functioning of selected agencies were demonstrated. Moreover, the Author assessed agencies’ effectiveness and efficiency.;
  Publikacja obejmuje problematykę funkcjonowania agencji wykonawczych UE powołanych w celu finansowania badań naukowych. W artykule zbadano podstawy prawne powstania oraz finansowania agencji wykonawczych, jak również praktyczne aspekty ich działalności. W wyniku przeprowadzonej na podstawie obowiązujących regulacji prawnych oraz orzecznictwa sądowego analizy wykazano podobieństwa i różnice w funkcjonowaniu wybranych agencji oraz oceniono ich skuteczne i efektywne funkcjonowanie.
