  This article attempts to describe selected examples of the musical legacy of the Warsaw Walking Pilgrimage to Jasna Góra, considering it an important component of the intangible cultural heritage of the pilgrimage ritual. The first part presents the rich history of the capital’s pilgrimage intertwined with the fortunes of the Polish nation. The second part of the article presentsthe musical traditions and repertoire of the Warsaw pilgrims, which owing to its content and structural characteristics represents the genre of pilgrimage songs in the strict sense. The final section is devoted to the challenges faced by the Warsaw pilgrimage and the tasks to be undertaken in order to maintain and pass on its heritage, including its musical heritage. These reflectionslead to the conclusion that all parties involved (the organisers, participants, legislators, cultural researchers), should develop effective strategies for its preservation, of which appropriate education plays the greatest role.;
  W artykule tym podjęto próbę opisu wybranych przykładów spuścizny muzycznej Warszawskiej Pielgrzymki Pieszej na Jasną Górę, uznając ją za istotną składową niematerialnego dziedzictwa kulturowego rytuału pielgrzymowania. W pierwszej części przybliżono bogatą historię stołecznej pielgrzymki wplecioną w losy narodu polskiego. W drugiej części artykułu zaprezentowano tradycje muzyczne oraz repertuar warszawskich pielgrzymów, reprezentujący – poprzez swoje właściwości treściowe i strukturalne – gatunek pieśni pielgrzymkowych w znaczeniu ścisłym. Ostatnia część poświęcona jest wyzwaniom, z którymi mierzy się warszawska pielgrzymka, oraz zadaniom, jakie należy podjąć w celu utrzymania i przekazania jej dziedzictwa, w tym dziedzictwa muzycznego. Refleksje te prowadzą do wniosku, że wszystkie zaangażowane strony (organizatorzy, uczestnicy, ustawodawca, badacze kultury), powinny wypracować skuteczne strategie ochrony, z których największą rolę odgrywa odpowiednia edukacja.
