  Michele Mari, who debuted towards the end of the 80s of the 20th century, has written prose, poetry and drama and is considered to be one of the classics of literature. His name is very often mentioned together with such famous writers as Gadda and Consolo. Already his literary debut showed him in opposition to the contemporary style and themes that ruled the literature. When it comes to those two aspects of a literary work, Mari uses a baggage of literary tradition, both Italian and European, without limiting it only to the postmodern technique of quote and reference. The tradition in his works is used in a creative way and is converted into a matter which allows for an original interpretation of the contemporary times. This article aims at showing selected linguistic and thematic elements which are transformed in this way in the first three novels of the author.;
  Michele Mari è considerato un caso letterario per molteplici ragioni ed è accostato a scrittori come Gadda e Consolo per la sua innegabile propensione ad uno stile che si discosta dai modi espressivi di oggi. È uno scrittore che, a discapito della tendenza, diffusissima a partire dagli anni Ottanta, a sottovalutare la cultura alta e la tradizione letteraria a favore della realtà reale alla Tondelli, concentra la sua attività letteraria sul patrimonio umanistico, attingendovi temi e modalità espressive. In un mondo globalizzato la cui cultura sembra trasgredire ogni canone nazionale e qualsiasi tradizione endogena, Mari si presenta come uno scrittore tutto votato da una parte al patrimonio linguistico italiano e dall’altra ai principi di quello che barthesianamente è definibile come scrittura intransitiva.;
  Michele Mari, który zadebiutował pod koniec lat 80. XX wieku, jest autorem dzieł z zakresu prozy, poezji i dramatu i uważa się go za jednego z klasyków literatury. Jego nazwisko bardzo często wymienia się obok takich sław jak Gadda i Consolo. Już jego debiut literacki ukazał go jako stojącego w opozycji do współczesnego stylu i tematów, które rządziły literaturą do tamtej pory. Jeśli chodzi o te dwa aspekty dzieła literackiego, Mari korzysta z bagażu tradycji literackiej, zarówno włoskiej, jak i europejskiej, nie ograniczając się jedynie do postmodernistycznej techniki cytowania i odniesienia. Tradycja w jego twórczości jest wykorzystywana w sposób twórczy i przekształcana w materię, która pozwala na oryginalną interpretację współczesności. Niniejszy artykuł ma na celu ukazanie wybranych elementów językowych i tematycznych, które zostały przekształcone w ten sposób w trzech pierwszych powieściach autora.
