Tekst przedstawia ogólnie wysoką ocenę monografii, choć zawiera również uwagi polemiczne w kwestii oceny wiarygodności oficjalnych wyników głosowania, opisu roli odgrywanej przez kontrolowany przez komunistów Front Narodowy i oceny zaangażowania różnych osób i podmiotów w kampanię wyborczą.
