From today we provide details about the publications of "Library of Stargard Digital Library".

Data update in Europeana

In the last few weeks Europeana has updated data transferred via the PIONIER Network Digital Libraries Federation. Even though some problems occurred, the operation ended with success. In this update the Federation has for the first time passed thumbnails for the most of objects from the Federation – almost 300 000 thumbnails. Furthermore the objects number from the Federation increased almost up to 350 000. Thanks to the dLibra Framework functionality some of thumbnails were generated automatically.

Conference on "Polish Digital Libraries 2010" - invitation to submit proposals for papers

On behalf of the Programme Committee we invite you to participate actively in creating the program of this year's conference on "Polish Digital Libraries". At the Conference we expect presentations about practical experiences, research and development, implementation of infrastructure - all related to the Polish digital libraries and European cooperation. The conference will be also a place for sharing good practices and an impulse for further development of advanced technologies, services and applications. Therefore, we encourage you to submit proposals for papers.

400 000 publications in the PIONIER DLF!

On the 24th of May, 2010 around 10:20 AM the total number of publications in Polish digital libraries connected to the DLF reached 400 000.

The publication number 400 000 is the Bridges-Our word: magazine of Jewish Workers' Party (Sjon Poaley-Hashomer Hatzair). Y. 4 (1949) nr 44 (447) published on-line by the University of Warsaw Digital Library.

We are glad to announce that publications descriptions gathered by FBC have been updated in the Europeana on 18th of March.

100 000 publications in Wielkopolska Digital Library

On the 22nd of March 2010 the Wielkopolska Digital Library has reached the number of 100 000 publications available on-line. The publication which was published as number 100 000 is the Kurier Poznański issue from 1884.06.05 (R.13 nr 128), published in the WDL by Mr Wojciech Zagartowski from the Department of Electronic Humanistic Texts of the Kórnik Library of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Congratualtions to Mr Wojciech and all other supporting the existence and development of the Wielkopolska Digital Library!

PSNC becomes the official DART-Europe partner

On January 20, 2010 PSNC became the official partner of the DART-Europe project. The aim of this project is to facilitate in the access and use of European e-theses and dissertations. This aim is realized by the aggregation of the metadata of such works available on-line and by allowing to access and search in the aggregated information via a dedicated portal.
